Who writes StockCraft's content, how it's researched, what we will and won't publish, and how we fix mistakes.

Who we are

StockCraft content is published by the StockCraft Editorial Team, a small independent team. We are not licensed financial advisors, brokers, or tax professionals, and we don't present ourselves as such. We write for beginners, and our job is to explain how investing works clearly and honestly — not to tell anyone what to do with their money.

What we publish

Learn guides

Evergreen explainers on how markets, investments, and financial concepts work. These are reviewed periodically and carry an "Updated" date when revised.

Market insights

Dated analysis of current events and market conditions. Each insight shows the date it was written, and time-sensitive facts link to their sources. Insights are snapshots: markets move quickly, and an insight describes conditions as of its date. Where we revisit a topic, we publish a new dated piece rather than silently rewriting history.

How we research

• Sources. Time-sensitive facts — prices, volumes, company figures, and news — come from primary sources such as exchanges, company reports, and government publications, or from established financial and news outlets. We link the sources we relied on.
• Attribution. Explanations of why something happened are attributed to the reporting or analysts who made them. We distinguish clearly between what happened and what others think it means.
• Promotional sources. Where a source has a commercial interest in a topic — for example, a platform that sells access to a stock it's writing about — we either avoid it or say so.
• AI tools. Some content is drafted with the help of AI tools. Every piece is reviewed by the StockCraft team before publishing, and time-sensitive figures are checked against the sources we cite.

What we won't publish

• Buy or sell recommendations. We don't tell readers to buy, sell, or hold any specific security.
• Price targets or predictions. We explain mechanisms and scenarios — what would have to be true for something to happen — not forecasts of where a price is headed.
• "Stocks to watch" lists presented as picks. When we discuss a specific company, it's as an example to explain a concept, including its risks.
• Paid placements in editorial content. No company can pay to be featured or described favorably in our guides or insights.

Corrections

We would rather be accurate than confident. If you find an error — a wrong figure, an outdated fact, a misleading explanation — email hello@stockcraft.app with the page and what you believe is wrong. We review every report. When we correct a substantive error, we update the page and its "Updated" date.
