Affiliate Disclosure
FTC Compliance Statement
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 ("Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising").
1. We Earn Commissions
StockCraft contains affiliate links to third-party financial products and services including, but not limited to: banks, credit unions, brokerage firms, credit card issuers, investing apps, cashback apps, and other financial service providers. When you click an affiliate link in the App and subsequently sign up for, fund, or use the linked product, StockCraft may receive a commission, referral fee, or other compensation from that third party.
2. No Extra Cost To You
The commissions StockCraft receives are paid by the linked company, not by you. You do not pay anything extra for the product or service because you arrived through StockCraft's affiliate link. In some cases, you may receive a better signup bonus, promotional rate, or trial benefit by using our link.
3. How Commissions Affect Listings
We make every reasonable effort to feature only financial products we believe offer genuine value to users. However, you should know:
- Products that pay higher commissions may be featured more prominently
- We may not feature competing products that don't have affiliate programs
- "Editor's Pick" labels reflect our subjective opinion, not independent ranking
- Bonus amounts shown in the App reflect what was offered at the time we updated the App and may not match what the third party currently offers
4. We Don't Endorse Outcomes
StockCraft does not guarantee that you will be approved for any financial product, that you will receive any bonus amount, that you will qualify under any terms, or that any third party will honor commitments described in the App. Approval, bonus eligibility, and account terms are determined solely by the third party. Bonus amounts are subject to qualifying activity (such as direct deposits, spending thresholds, account funding, or credit approval) that may or may not align with your actual financial situation.
5. Bonus Amounts and Terms Change
Bonus amounts displayed in the App are subject to change without notice. We do our best to keep listings current, but always verify the bonus amount and full terms directly on the third party's website before signing up. The third party's terms govern your relationship with them.
6. Specific Disclosures by Category
Brokerage and Investing Accounts: Securities trading involves risk. Past performance does not predict future results. Free stock bonuses are typically random and may be of low value. Options trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. SIPC insurance covers brokerage failures but not market losses.
Bank Accounts: Bonuses typically require qualifying direct deposits or balance commitments. Failure to meet requirements within specified timeframes results in no bonus. Banks may report bonuses as taxable interest income.
Credit Cards: Credit card sign-up bonuses require qualifying spending and credit approval. Carrying a balance results in interest charges that may exceed any signup bonus value. Applying for credit cards results in a hard credit inquiry that may temporarily lower your credit score. Annual fees may apply.
Cashback / Reward Apps: Rewards typically require qualifying purchases or activity. Rewards may take days to weeks to be credited and may have withdrawal minimums.
7. Editorial Independence
While we receive commissions, we do not accept compensation in exchange for positive reviews, and we will not feature products we believe are harmful to users. The educational and warning content in the App (such as risk warnings on options trading) is provided in good faith based on widely accepted industry information.
8. Tax Treatment of Bonuses
Most signup bonuses (bank bonuses in particular) are reported as taxable income to the IRS. Credit card bonuses are generally not taxable. Consult a tax professional regarding the tax treatment of any bonus you receive.
๐ต Plain English Summary: When you click "Open Account" or similar buttons in this app, the company may pay us a referral fee. We try to recommend good products, but commission can influence what we feature. Bonus amounts can change โ always verify on the company's site. Credit cards charge interest if you carry a balance. None of these signup bonuses are guaranteed; you have to qualify.
Summary in plain English. StockCraft is a free educational tool and paper-trading simulator. It is not a brokerage, financial advisor, or investment service. Simulator prices are generated by an algorithm and are not real market data. Nothing here is personalized financial advice. Investing involves real risk, including the loss of everything you invest. We earn commission on some links, at no cost to you. Consult a licensed professional before making financial decisions.
